OUR RESEARCH

Our research is very interdisciplinary, lying at the interface between chemistry, materials science and physics. We use micron-sized colloidal particles to characterize complex materials out-of-equilibrium, i.e. systems that are either deformed by external forces (e.g., shear flows, optical forces or impacts) or in which the single constituents exhibit self-propulsion.
